Delete your account and data

Deleting from inside the app

Open Vọt on your iPhone.
Go to Settings → Account.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Read the warning and tap Delete permanently to confirm.

Deletion happens immediately. There is no waiting period and it cannot be undone. You will be signed out and may register again with the same email address as an entirely new account.

If you cannot open the app

Email [email protected] from the account's own email address, with the subject "Vọt account deletion request". We verify ownership of the address, delete within 30 days, and confirm when done. We do not act on requests sent from a different address — that is what stops a stranger from deleting your account.

What is deleted

All account data on our servers is permanently erased:

email address, display name, profile picture, phone number;
your user identifier and the link to your Apple or Google account;
your hashed password, all sessions and refresh tokens;
push notification device tokens;
purchase transaction identifiers used to validate Premium entitlement.

Data that lives only on your device — favourite places, search history, settings, vehicle data — disappears when you delete the app from your iPhone. We hold no copy of it.

What is retained, and for how long

Server technical logs (API call timestamps, error codes, truncated IP addresses) for up to 30 days, for security and abuse prevention. After account deletion these logs can no longer be linked back to your identity.
Transaction records held by Apple: Apple retains purchase history under its own policy; we neither control nor can delete that.

We keep no other backups containing account data after deletion.

Deleting your account does not cancel Vọt Premium

The subscription is managed by Apple, separately from your Vọt account. If you have an active subscription you must cancel it yourself or Apple will keep billing you: iPhone Settings → [Your name] → Subscriptions → Vọt → Cancel subscription. Cancel before deleting your account.

Revoking Vọt's access in your Apple or Google account

If you signed in with Apple or Google, you can also remove the link on the provider's side after deletion:

Google: open myaccount.google.com/permissions → select Vọt → Remove access.
Apple: iPhone Settings → [Your name] → Sign in with Apple → Vọt → Stop using Apple ID.
